emka MEDICAL has developed a novel pressure sensing technology which can be integrated into various kinds of systems. This technology was already proven viable in preclinical research laboratories where it showed the same performance as the gold standard for preclinical invasive pressure measurement. The big difference between commonly used invasive pressure catheters from the preclinical environment and our technology is that it can also be used for human applications. We are currently developing our first product (Cor/log Probe 1P) which uses this new technology.

Due to its nature our technology can be easily combined with other measurement methods like fiber optic oxygen sensing. Our goal is to go from probe to implant and from 1P to 1P2O. This means from a catheter with one pressure measurement to a catheter with one pressure measurement and two oxygen measurements which are displaced to enable measurement of oxygen gradients.
